What is Trinity Catholic College?

Trinity Catholic College is a co-educational secondary College providing high quality Catholic education for students in Years 7-12 in the Auburn, Berala, Regents Park, Sefton, Homebush West and Lidcombe regions.  It is a regional school drawing students from surrounding feeder parishes with a variety of cultural and language backgrounds, operating under registration from the Sydney Archdiocesan Catholic Schools Board.Trinity Catholic College is committed to an educational partnership with parents to enable young people to develop holistically within a Catholic community.  There is to be an understanding that, appropriate to their level of development, the students themselves also undertake responsibility for their own educational growth and for the building of our College community.

What is Expected?

Enrolment at Trinity Catholic College is made on the understanding that parents and students appreciate that Education in the Catholic Faith is foundational to the educational process and, that active support of the values of the Catholic education system as expressed by the Sydney Archdiocesan Catholic Schools Board is expected of all families. Evidence of commitment to the College on the part of the student and family would include demonstration of a willingness to support the ethos of the Catholic school, support for College policy in general, active participation by the student in all educational programs, acceptance of responsibility in payment of school fees, the building levy and other charges.

Enrolment Policy

Children from all families who are prepared to support Catholic ideals, principles and practices may be considered eligible for enrolment at Trinity Catholic College.  However, the College exists as an extension of the local Catholic parishes to provide an education in the Catholic faith for Catholic children from Catholic families.  This has two important consequences.  Firstly, Catholic children have first priority for enrolment and the priority for enrolments is as set out in the order below.  Secondly, the Principal has a responsibility to ensure that the Catholic character of the school is maintained and promoted by ensuring that the vast majority of children are Catholics.  The College cannot accept all applications from families who are not Catholic.  To do so would change the Catholic character and climate of the school.

Subject to the above, priority for enrolment is given in the following order:-

  • Children of Catholic families who are actively involved in the parish on which the school depends
  • Children of Catholic families residing in other parishes in which they are actively involved.
  • Children of families affiliated to churches in communion with the Roman Catholic, such as the Maronite Church.
  • Children of Catholic families residing in other parish/parishes on which the school depends
  • Children of Catholic families residing in other parishes.
  • Children of Orthodox or other Christian families
  • Children of families of other religious convictions
