Over 40 years ago, Toongabbie Christian College was founded by Toongabbie Baptist Church with the vision of establishing a school for Christian families that offered a quality education without having to compromise on faith and values.
The result of this vision is the College that our families enjoy today; a place that is more than a school, but a uniquely Christian community where families are united by a common purpose and enjoy a sense of belonging. We are proud of our strong culture that connects home, church and school; where Christian education is not just a subject to be studied, but a way of life.

A smooth transition
Starting Secondary School is a significant milestone. At Toongabbie Christian College, Year 7 students are welcomed into an environment where they are known, supported and inspired to thrive.
Our comprehensive academic, co-curricular and wellbeing programs are designed to help Year 7 students settle quickly so they can explore their strengths both inside and outside the classroom and challenge them to pursue academic and personal excellence. Academic Program
The Year 7 Curriculum reflects NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) guidelines and includes:
Core Learning Areas:
- English
- Mathematics
- Science
- Human Society and its Environment (including History and Geography)
- Technology (Mandatory), Food Technologies, Digital Technologies, Engineered Systems
- Creative Arts (Visual Arts, Music, Theatre Studies)
- Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE)
- School-Enhanced Learning:
- Biblical Studies
- Academic Care Program
All subjects are designed to provide a strong foundation for future learning and personal growth and are taught from a Biblical Worldview.
Co-Curricular Program
The College provides a wide variety of opportunities for students to explore their God-given talents and experience meaningful learning outside of a traditional classroom setting.
Sport
Inter-school sport is popular, with students able to participate and compete in College-based, local, zone, state, CSSA and CIS level competitions.
Music, Band and Performing Arts
Our programs enable students to participate in a variety of performance opportunities across the year, such as the College Musical. The College is home to performance spaces such as the Drama Theatre, Multi-Purpose Centre and well-resourced Music Rooms in the Secondary School.
Camps
Camps in Secondary School are designed to encourage participation in a range of skill and team building exercises and encourage students to challenge themselves and build positive friendships while having fun.
Clubs
Students are welcome to join a number of lunchtime groups in the Secondary School including Bible Study, Chess, Games, Juggling, Knitting, Prayer, Subbuteo and Vocal Ensemble.
Wellbeing
We are committed to providing an environment where every student is valued and able to flourish in mind, body and spirit. Every family is assigned to one of four Houses: Arnott, Burrows, Cuthbert or Hale.
The House program encourages students’ sense of belonging by providing them with opportunities to bond with their peers across a range of creative, sporting and social events throughout the year.
Year 7 Home Room
Home Room ensures that students build strong connections and are encouraged to grow in person and spirit throughout their adolescent years. Our student-led Peer Support program encourages older students to develop responsibility as mentors and role models to younger students.
Wellbeing Team
The College Wellbeing Team works closely with students and families to provide a holistic approach to student care in the Secondary School. The team includes a Psychologist, Counsellors, Deans of Students and a Secondary Student Mentor.
Tours and Open Days
During a College Tour or Open Day you will:
- Meet our Principal, Deputy Principal Secondary and dedicated Secondary School teaching staff.
- Enjoy a personal campus tour to experience our learning spaces in action.
- Have the opportunity to ask further questions of our staff.
- Be able to ask us about our private door-to-door bus service that operates through Toongabbie, Seven Hills, Blacktown, Pemulwuy, Quakers Hill, Merrylands, Baulkham Hills, Carlingford, Dundas and more.
